Slowly with your help and guidance gayong spain is spreading and it was fantastic to see the 40 students at the Cordoba workshop performing senaman and buah Silat melayu - richard & anjum please mail me some photos when you get chance. I will post a complete write up of the camp when I find out what has happened to my website - until then stay posted for news of a UK summer camp over the bank holiday weekend at the end of August and another spanish camp in October.

salaams to all silat melayu Uk , especially cikgu Ariffin and his murids for making such an enjoyable and informative seminar and workshop here in Spain.
It was an honour to explore the basics, asas of gayong from a master of them and I can honestly say that I have seen a lot of gayong , but have never seen it exectuted with such finesse- sorry to all gayong practitioners - I do not mean to be controversial but the modern syllabus I learned pales into nothing when compared with what we have just done here - the original 7 asas and buah as taught by mahaguru - complete with yoi, pukulan and most importantly seni.
