Here's what our vet recommends : 10cc dexamethasone, 10cc Thiamine Hydrochloride, 2cc oxytocin, to be given asap after a hard pull. Try your best to get her on her feet as soon as you can. Make sure she's where she has good footing so that when she does try, her legs won't slip. If she tries to get up, grab her tail and try to help steady her. If she can't get up at all, make sure you roll her so she isn't laying on the same side all the time. If at all possible, get something to lift her with and get her up at least once a day, more if you can. Sometimes it takes a lot of time and effort. We had one down for a little over a month once, but she acted like she wanted to get better, and we were able to lift her and let her stand for a little while every day. If she hadn't been a show heifer that the kids were attached to and hadn't acted like she was trying, we wouldn't have let it go on that long. Good luck!
