Last night my first calf heifer(app. shorthron sired by moody blues and a pure blood shorty cow) started to calve. She was breed to ali so i figured it would come easy even though she was 100 pound birth wieght. It was a hard pull and the calf got locked up at the hips.We got a jack and got the calf out but it died, it weighed 98 pounds. Now the cow cammont get up and will not eat or dirnk anything i give to her. I would like to keep her as she is a nice animal and is one of my 7 cows. I have been breeding for 3 years and am only 13 please help.
