Zach its a constant battle fought in a great many families! part of the problem is-Dad could be half rite and so can you you may have bulls as good as some AI bulls however you do not have 100 herd bulls! AI can bring you so many options it gets confusing! I took a different approach because my dad was an AI tech-I have never understood the advantage of not using all posible tools to better my herd however MR natural as a cleanup is a must! oak is right though give it a try on limited # and use AI as a lerning tool-if you can see finished product even better! here's a thought use 5-10 #doesnt matter and set up with cidr protocol and AI consider cost,due dates tightness of calving and all the genetic possiblities and use that as a project set Dad up with his own 5-10 to compare And you pick the AI sires!!
