I am posting this for a friend, they have a calf with lump jaw, it is part of the bone, but at present time is leaking LOTS of puss and is painful, she can stick her finger nail down inside and feel the abscess and get puss to squirt out if she squeezes the lump no puss comes out. He has been treated with Sodium Iodine via IV, but it is not clearing up. What else could she do? This is their first year in the cattle project, we have already weighed and tagged in so a new calf is not an option. I know that it is probably hopeless. But we have to hold out some hope. Thanks for any help.
