My son has a problem with one of his heifers. She has the depth of rib and is a rather big framed heifer, she just don't have the big fat belly to compete. She is a slow lazy eater but she eats but the last two shows he took her to she doesn't eat very well and she doesn't have that big massive belly. What can we feed her to get her to have a big soggy belly like the heifers we compete against. Is there anything we can do to make her gain that big belly and put fat on fast? We are feeding her the Purina steer ration with a scoop and 1/2 beet pulp. Someone said beer would help is this true and if so how much and how to feed?
