We just had a calf who lost its mother due to complications during the birth that led to the cow bleeding out. Now we have a calf that is just a little over 24 hours old and she is passing small amounts of blood in her stool. Nothing horrible by any means small drops/film on her stool but, we are just worried about the calf's health. We administered 2 quarts of colostrum an hour after she was born and then a quart of milk replacer 4 hours later and then 1 quart of colostrum after that. Now we started giving her milk replacer every 8 hours and are going to start feeding her every 12 hours starting tommorow morning.
Thanks for any info and any advise it is much appreciated.
Thanks Again,
Mitch,
