Alot of people have had success with the shorthorn bull Jakes Proud Jazz; he is easy calving and clean of both TH and PHA. of the calves I have seen out of him, He has thrown alot of hair, bone and stout offspring. I bought a purebred bull calf out of Jakes Proud Jazz this fall and really like him. Other shorty bulls; SS Deadwood, Vegas but he is dirty, Sin City, Sonny N Clear. Depending on if you are going for clubby calves or breeding cattle will help determin what bull you would want to use.
Some Clubby bulls; Money Shot, Heat Wave I, Ali or an Ali son would work great if you want females, for smokeys Alias or Tin Man. Hope this helps a little bit.

: Hello,
: I am not very new to the show ring (been in
: it for 6 years now), but I am pretty new to
: breeding show cattle. I wanted a
: recommendation of a bull(s) that would meet
: these requirements. I want one that will
: mainly give me lots of hair and thickness,
: yet would maintain a decent birthweight as I
: will be using him on moderate framed Angus
: cows. I also want him to be TH and PHA free.
: Also, I would like a recommendation for a
: bull to use on a Shorthorn cow who is also
: pretty moderate framed. Thanks for any
: suggestions.
