We feed beet pulp to all our show cattle, Calves included. Are you wanting to feed it wet or dry? When we use it wet, we mix it with liquid molasses and cover with H20 an let sit until the next morning, don't make too much because it will dry out or will heat and spoil in the summer. It will help fill them as well as give them some guts.
We sometimes use dry shredded in our show ration but it is minimal 4 bags to a ton, they will eat the pellets, but use a handful as top dressing and make sure you give them acess to lpenty of water (one heifer has only been eating BP with a handful of grain for the last month and still is holding perfect formwith 2wks to go). Good Luck
