Don't use mossy oak on heifers. They are huge and most of them go past there due date by a least week or more.
: Northern Improvement (birth weight epd -.7) we
: have had a few dozen calves range from 60-90
: plus pounds. If you look at his epd bw -.7
: and compare it to a few of Griswold's angus
: easy calving sires OCC Machinist 734M birth
: wieght epd -2.1 and OCC Homer -3.5 you will
: get a live calf on the ground and if its a
: female will be extremely deep bodied and
: structally sound as replacement female. We
: are switching to Machinist and Ali for our
: heifers. Good Luck.

: I am not sure I would use a Heat Seeker on
: heifers. But others may have had luck. I
: like to be safe. I really like Northern
: Improvement.
: My mossy oak went early 5 days. Just
: depends.

: I Have a Full Flush Fall Born heifer that I
: held over so I could have her calve in the
: spring. I understand the heatseekers work
: well on full flush females, but what calving
: ease bull has been working on full flush
: females. Also, had two cows bred to mossy
: oak this year and one went and week over and
: the other is a week and a half over, is this
: common with mossy oak? Just curious?
: Thanks
