so it sounds like he is kicking with his front feet, right? sounds like he needs a little more time being worked... a steer that runs you into the corral isnt ready for a show, at least not in my opinion. it might be hard to clip the steer if you cant go past his shoulder without a freak out. just give him time and work ![]()
: So i have a show this weekend and i have a few
: problems that i would love to fix before
: then. My steer kicks at me when i hose him
: off and when i blow dry him. he only kicks
: on his front quarter tho. If i am behind his
: shoulders, no problem. i can comb his legs,
: belly, butt, however if i go in front of his
: shoulder he kicks and or runs me into the
: corral, hes not in a chute because i don't
: have one yet. how can this be fixed? Also he
: doesn't respond to twisting his tail if i
: need him to move left or right, he stands
: still. any ideas? Also is there a good
: website out there for clipping instructons,
: i'm clueless!! thanx for the help!
