Patrick,
My 2¢ here. Nothing more, nothing less. I always HIT THE TRAIL EARLY!! By early I mean, 3:00am-4:00am
.(live 1 mile from Mill Creek Ranger Station so SGWA is our backyard). The southern side of the ol' Grayback is my favorite with Vivian being 1# and Momyer 2#. I like the kick in the pants once you start out. Early morning (sunrise) and early evening (sunset) are prime time for 'nats and 'squites. Load up on the high level Deet spray or lotion. Maybe, cause I'm a little darker skinned
they don't bother me much........I tell the wife they like her white meat more
. Just kidding, no harm intended. Our own personal view according to the Felipe's, hope it helps.
See ya at the top!
Be prepared!!

:
: How are the other trails??
: Anyone else experiencing BUGS?
:
: When can I expect fewer bugs?
:
: They don't seem to be bad in the
: sunny areas... just in the shady
: areas.
