You should be fine with the AL liner in your Ursack. It's without the liner that everything gets compacted and covered with bear saliva if the bear really works it over. The trick to an Ursack is to try to chase the bear off as soon as possible. The bears in the SGW are not the bears in the Sierra. The local bears generally scare off pretty easily, although I wouldn't count on that on the Vivian Creek Trail.
