Ok, I don't have a guidebook or a map.
This w-e, I drove up to Mentone to check out Vivian creek area as I am considering hiking the trail (after I get a permit, of course).
I drove past the parking lot for Momyer/Alger (on the left hand side) before arriving to the Falls Recreation Area.
After parking my car by the entrance, I walked the banks of Mill Creek but saw nothing about Vivian Creek trail. Only a sign reading TRAIL that pointed across the creek.
Did I miss the trail head? Where the heck is it?
Call me stupid if you want but the road ends at the recreation area so it has to be there, right??
Can someone please enlighten me (or smack me on the back of the head...)?
