Sorry to hear about your car being vandalized. The Vivian Creek trailhead parking, the picnic area at the end of the road, and the falls trail parking have been "crime central" for many years. We don't park there anymore, instead going to all the work to set up a drop off by a friend/spouse.
It's ironic - I was stopped twice along the Vivian Creek trail by Rangers asking to see my permit, which I happily provided. I wish the Sheriffs Department and Homeland Security would check a few IDs and outstanding warrants for the too many dirt bags that party at the picnic area and parking lots.
