My brother-in-law and I just hiked Mt. Baden Powell a few weeks ago, now we want to challenge ourselves a bit more and hike up San Gorgonio, can this hike be done in one day or do we need to spend the night, how long would it take us to hike and is September a good month?

: I have done several day hikes up san
: gorgonio peak and back this Summer.
: I´m thinking about attempting it in
: the winter using the Vivian creek
: route.Maybee november or December. I
: have never done any real hiking in
: the winter with snow So I have a few
: question from the more experienced
: Hikers here.
: I´m curious if any of you have been
: up there in the winter and what
: eqipment you used, Crampons, snow
: shoes plastic mountaineering boots
: or just heavy waterproof hiking
: boots. Is a day trip still doable or
: if trekking through the snow eats up
: too much time and would require a
: night on the summit. Also What are
: the average winter time Lows up at
: the top.
:
: Any tips and suggestions would be
: greatly appreciated.

: Thanks
