I got some shots of it last Oct on my visit. Here's the info I put when I waymarked it.
Upon summiting San Gorgonio Peak, I found this marker placed by the San Bernardino County Surveyors. I could find no other markers. I found it a bit surprising that there were no USGS or CGS markers placed on the highest point in San Bernardino County and Southern California.
This is a relatively small marker, about 2" in diameter.
On the outside ring are theses words
1989 GPS SAN GORGONIO PEAK S.B. CO. SURV.
Inside of this is
HIGHEST POINT SO. CALIF.
and in the center
ELEV. 11501.6 FEET
SG Peak Benchmark
