I didn't get a picture of it, but saw a huge length of aluminum (i think) by the spring between Mineshaft Flat and Big Tree last week.
Anyone know what this is from?
It's a length about 20-30 feet long it seems, is flat on one side, and curves at the other end, sort of like a gothic cathedral window maybe? It's hollow with support inside to maintain the shape, and I think it had some yellow stripes painted on it near the ends.
My first thought upon seeing it was that maybe it was a helicopter blade, but it's not quite the right airfoil shape. I suppose it could be the leading edge of some type of wing, but the curve seemed a little odd.
Looked like it's tumbled around as it was pretty bent up, but was still easy enough to move it in its resting place.
Would love to know what it was I stumbled upon out there.
