Anyone know why the valley was filling up with smoke on Friday morning?
We had camped at Mineshaft Flat and on Friday morning, and a ton of smoke was blowing into the valley when we packed up to leave. Not sure where from, but seemed the cloud was just getting to us as we left.
Were there any fires down below in the area, or could this have been drift smoke from the La Brea fire over in Los Padres? I haven't seen anything about fires in the area since I got back.
The news in Big Bear has been reporting that drift smoke from that fire has been noticeable in the Big Bear valley, so I presume it's possible it's related.
