Hi there, We have just found your site. We have been living in France for nearly ten years and have undertaken a range of renovation projects, We are now looking to build a property on a plot of land we have. What sort of help do you need?
The first step is to get the local mayor on your side, get a certificate of urbanism, costs nothing, and sort out the requirements for services. The rules for septic tanks are a minefield and change from commune to commune.
How far have you got? By the way, when purchasing land you can put in a clause to say that if permission is not granted the sale does not proceed and you get your deposit back.
