They are certainly worth using as upright studs and roof timbers eliminating roof supports making a warm roof. Other makes are Silentfloor and Trust Joist MacMillan. The deep void they leave is ideal for packing with insulation and reducing your heating system and eventual bills. The span of Masonites means you don't need so many internal support walls, or none at all. This reduces foundations costs. The saving on internal support wall foundations and a reduced heating system goes some way to offset the cost of Masonites. Well worth it. Do a Google on Silentfloor and Masonite. Guss
