You will probably find that the programmable timer you have is not made by Ariston. I also have a Eurocombi and had the same problem. My timer is made by Grasslin. Go to www.grasslin.com and look for the FM/1 digi 20. There is a downloadable instruction leaflet that will show you how to program your timer
