Glowworm combi boiler

This is not a selfbuild problem, but I hope someone can help! I have a glowworm compact 80e combi boiler, which can only run 1 hot tap at a time. I don't think this is ok, but when I phoned the house builders, they said it was normal! What can I do to fix this?
