Hi, Don! Sorry for the delay...just saw this! There were two booking agencies... Pink Panther Productions out of Chadron, and Sound 76 out of Rapid City. Ron Kohn was a partner in both from about 1966 into the early 80's. He also played in Bold Lightning later on. During the 60's and especially 70's the Black Hills music scene was on the forefront of rock n roll. Denver was the Mecca for bands during that time with so many artists wanting to be a part of the Denver hippie scene and recording at those studios. Barry Fey Music and the connex to Columbia Records was a magnet for aspiring musicians. Chicago wound up opening Caribou Ranch Studios down there, so the Black Hills bands always seemed to have a leg up on everyone in terms of being cutting edge. By the late 70's that whole scene seems to have waned away. Too bad! Anyway, if anyone knows how to contact Ron, he would be a great resource for you and has lists of all the Nebraska, Wyoming and west river bands... I'm sure!
