I agree with you in general, but in this case there's more involved than usual. You said that you are not familiar with the process -- well I doubt anyone but the Board members (past and present)know what the process is.

Their selection criteria aren't necessarily flawed. However, I'm of the opinion that this case there seems to be some sort of personal issue or issues involved. If such is the reason for non-selection, then their decision is not professional and it taints objectivity of the process.

I must admit, however, the bands they have inducted are "Top of the Line".
