After Vern came Mckelson(sp)and maybe Schultz, then an advertising agency and then Ron Dick and Dale Menten in like 1974-5 with a name change to Cookhouse Recording Studios. They kept control until 1994, but the 2541 location was sold in like 1984, to Paul Stark, he sells to Creation Studios and I believe the Creation Studio's engineer is still there with some others - Steve Wiese(sp)- another great source for Minneapolis rock and roll history. You can stop and ring the bell at 2541 and maybe get a tour, it is a fun area. A reason for you to attend 2012 ceremony is DALE MENTEN with the Gestures will be there. Dale was with SOMA, formed DOVE with a few others to compete with Amos(Soma), and became an owner of the old Kay Bank. He also has been part of the Twin Cities/Minnesota music history for 40 years.
