Can't place Dave N., but thanks for the shout-out. I'm the Gordy on keyboards from the Ride. And yes Horts was indeed a happening place. I still chuckle at how many nights I spent getting folks drunk several years before I could legally drink myself. I don't know if it's a hallucination on my part or what, but one of my favorite memories is seeing Sanctuary (Denny Lowen's post-Flipper group) fronting for the Sons of Champlin. Was anybody else there? As for meeting spouses there, I'm still married to the one I tried to pick up with the world's dumbest opening line - it didn't work that night, but it was outrageous enuf that she still remembered me several years later.
