In addition to Bill Black Combo and Dickie Lee giving someone a New Year's Eve whuppin', I remember the Cascades, Crickets with Jerry Naylor singing, Tommy Roe and the Roemans, first look at the post DeMers Velaires (didn't their bass player work with Lonnie Mack?). As Rick said, it was a great place to get close to the stage and observe thebands--theater in the round, sort of.
