Sherwin Litton and Bobby Vee I remember well.
Lived in Rapid City for 10 years during 1978-88.
Remember a rock band called ASIA that was very popular but not sure if they are still in the music business.
Dee Dee and the Fayrohs are still playing. Met Darla Drew who is the lead singer and was also booking bands along with her husband Don Lerdal who played guitar. Don is also in a band called Abby Road.
These two have contributed to and promoted Rock and Roll in South Dakota for many years.
I realize you would like to honor pioneers in the business but it would also be wise to recognize current music contributors to help promote your association.
