Anyone know how the Conference USSSA part of the convention went?

I know they probably talked about a new rule that says you cannot sign a player until October 1st for the next season. What else?

We discussed each question that you sent out. Also discussed contracts between players and teams to protect the sponsors. Excellent dialogue in the group. Lots of good points by Hank Bassett, Larry Q, Don Cooper, Scott Brown, Rick Robertson.

Good to hear Hank and Larry made good points.... They have been around the game a long time....lets just hope balancing out the divide in Divisions and reducing sponsorship costs were topics one and two. It's going to be interesting to see if Don failed to reach his potential again...when it comes to making a healthier softball program.

Tim, your idea of making it cost effective to move from 'C' to 'B' would not have been a topic in the Conference meeting, I don't believe. There is no difference between an E team in conference tournaments and A teams.

Since TM50 could have gone to the convention and made any point he wanted to and didnt that tells you that all he is going to do is wait for the results and whine about them which no one should be surprised about

What I am saying is.... If the Conference meeting was good for softball.... It would have included talks about ways to reduce the sponsorship divide between major, A and B ball. It would also have involved methods to reduce costs across the board. To do this the tallent gap also needed to be addressed. Once you get major, A and B dialed in.... Your next move is incorporating C into the mix. Gotta go now.... It's stopped raining
