I spoke with Landon Helm again yesterday and he is getting ready to have the J.C. Phelps#40 Spring Bash. The tournament is held in honor of J.C. Phelps who died Sept 18, 2009. As you can see below in the info from Landon that it will be a USSSA rules tourney with 10 hrs per game using the composite softball bats.
Landon has informed me that he is having a Fall Bash tournament where you will have to swing aluminum. He is trying to get a number of players committed to participate in this event. I told him I would help and I will be going to it. I have donated my own aluminum bats for this event in the past. I will donate more this year if they need them. I will keep you posted on the Fall event, as he is trying g to get some former softball players to join in . As I said I will keep you posted as to who is coming in for the tourney. The proceeds from both tourneys go to a local student toward theirs college tuition.
