I completely agree with Red.. Softball is healthy as it ever has been.. Just not so much at the Upper levels.. They have 3 "E" Worlds for sh!t sake.. First off, I would do something about "E" Worlds.. I know it will never go away, but maybe move the top 25% of the E teams up every year.. Then move up the top 20% of the D teams..But before anything can be solved at the national level, things need to be regulated at the state level. The problem is softball players want 2 things, to have the potential to win, and to have a place to play.. A lot of players play down at the state level,because majority of the tourneys at the state level are D/E.. Maybe the powers at be need to go back to tourneys at the State level where everyone plays Open tourneys for part of the year. Then in July, teams get classified where they can go to worlds.. Results would be based on how teams did in the Open tourneys..
