This certainly should not be done with a fear biting type or an unstable type of dog IMO. IMO, it is for the "fight driven" dog that also has good stability and good nerves.
By asking it to fight, yes, I am putting some defense into the work surely, but it is more rapid and annoying than posturing and dominating type of defense work. Sending more impression of a fight where the dog reacts rather than thinks.
