Many trainers consider rank aggression an extension of defensive drive, so there couldbe a correlation. Basically they are defending a social position, therefore IMO as Lee said they would be more prone to express dog aggression.
I LOVE a dog with high rank aggression and hate a submissive dog. Regardless of how high the submissive dog's other drives are they will never make up for the lack of "pride and attitude" a rank driven dog shows.
