I didn't realize you said "defense WORK." I thought you said defense DRIVE. Sorry for not reading your post better. I don't think WORKING a dog defensively makes it more dog aggressive, but I do think a dog with the rank driven form of defense drive is generally more prone to express dog aggressive behavior.
