Well I am not expert but I guess I will just put down my thoughts...
I believe its important to test your dog hard to know its genitic limitations and to know where its at in training. But I dont feel this should be done very often...
But I feel the training at some point should include as many possible situations as the dog could incounter in real life, they dont necassarily have to be pushing the dog extremely hard either as thats not going to be building the dog up.
In my limited experience the social part is kind of dog by dog but, the anti-socialness seems to wain quickly over time after positive socialization and after tests / training have stopped.
The key I believe is to do heavy socialization at the same time as the training is accuring if one is doing things in training that is making the dog extremely sharp or anti-social. Only if the dog is expected to be social...
