Well "not necessarily" is the right term Marty.
In the case of the cars that were on TV all day yesterday,I would say that the marketing plan of those companies is working just fine. Success breeds success in attracting good, solid sponsors. In the case of Hendrick, Gibbs, Rousch, and a few of the others, performance and good relations and recognition of the sponsors that are on the cars makes all the difference. Joe Gibbs was quite adamant about his teams relationship with their long running sponsors and how important they are to his teams and how each one of his drivers are corporate spokesmen too. And Gibbs has a good stable of drivers as usual right now. Not much expected from Joey Logano just yet, but he is still wet behind the ears when it comes to racing this particular car and is still on a steep learning curve.
