My brother was telling me Phil Parsons (actually in his wife's name & another partner)team made a nice tidy 6 figure sum after expenses w/ his start/park operation in the Busch (ok nationwide). They'd get 2 sets of tires, get the car dialed in on one, setting it up like the old days with a straight qualifying setup, and use the 2nd stickers to make the show. Crew? ...just enough to get the car moved around the garage & work on it. They used 2 motors all year. Equipment, ...all Nascar requires to start a race is that you have equipment in your pit stall. A $149 Craftsman 8 draw box covers that legality. They have it down to a science. Todd even did one of those s/p for them last yr.
I doubt Toyota will send any $$ their way. They will put $$ where it gives them the best chance for results & exposure.
