One thing that galls the hell out of me, in an effort to "help control costs" Nascar said they'd limit the number of "hard cards" that Truck teams could have. Such crap!!! ...any higher series hard card has free reign to a lower series, so where's the "savings"???? Cup & busch related teams will just have guys from there go down & help out. .....and one less guy over the wall, more crap, that'll create more problems/trouble/safety issues than it'll ever save. They need to go back to the early years when the trucks looked more stock, none of these ultra-massaged, low valence/splitter type noses that are on the trucks now. ...maybe a spec/crate motor?? I know that takes away from brand identity, but it'd be a huge savings in costs. The daily per/diem is killing teams as well, the cost of hotel/motel rooms is outrageous.
Tires?? how about some harder Hoosier's ??
....just a few thoughts.
