This obviously would have been a better idea 2 years ago, but if NASCAR had found a way for the "Car of Yesterday" to run in Nationwide-- with some sort of engine, gearing, spoiler or other restrictions in the name of parity, it could have given a real boost to Nationwide, kept the Cup teams from ending up with obsolete inventory, and even the Morgan-McClures of the world might have had another alternative to all but shutting down.
