Hope everyone had wonder holidays. Mine was very busy. My parents are in the process of adopting two little girls from Guatamala.
Actually what is holding my interest in 2008 is to see how much the TV ratings decline again. How long till Jr grenades a Hendrick engine, and how long till Smokes rips JGR's switch to Toyota.
Wonder how much I'll have to pay for a 500 ticket this year. Last year I was able to get a Pepsi 400 ticket for $35. Face was $80. Years past I have been able to get 500 tickets for half face, plus 20. Not a bad deal.
I really don't have a great deal of interest in the Busch series, and I know theres alot of Jr bashing, but one thing I do like is he has a Busch series team, with a Busch series driver.
There are alot of Busch series drivers I would like to watch, but instead I get Carl Edwards or Kevin Harvick win again show. If the drivers get a chance.
Not sure what has happened with the truck series. Racing still seems good. Have people lost interest because Toyota has many of the top teams?
Although Nascar has said they are trying to keep cost low on the trucks, I'm sure the cost has escalated to the point somebody can't put together a partial schedule program.
Read someplace that Reutimann is helping a family member out in ARCA. He's leasing engines from Toyota at 15grand per race. 15K for a lease motor for ARCA....Are you kidding me!!!!!!
I'm looking forward to the classic race series or whatever its called. Read someplace the guy who started it was thinking of fielding a cup team, but he came up with this idea, because he can operate this whole series on the budget of running one cup team.
Great Idea.
