The bottom line remains that Nextel Cup is less popular these days for whatever reason. The TV ratings are down ... last week's Talladega race had ratings that were 9% lower than the 2006 race. The racing for the most part is boring. The COT is ugly and the drivers hate it. As a long time fan, I miss the '80's when the cars looked something like we could go and buy in the showrooms and the racing was much better.
