Posted by scrawk (go) on 8/5/2007, 12:30 pm, in reply to "Re: Gordon Screwed, but he hurt himself after the fact...." i think its just more of NASCAR's "make up the rules as you go along." i'm not normally a conspiracy theory kind of guy but i'd wager a guess if there was a different gordon in that car it probably wouldnt have been sent back to restart 13th. i'm not sure either are so innocent. it sure looked like ambrose started it in the first place. robby was definately in the wrong for disobeying NASCAR after they made the call. and he certainly didnt help his case by spinning ambrose back. certainly made for an interesting finish!

i'll tell you what... the same thing happened at my local nascar track a week ago - the leader got spun just after the caution came out. the officials put him back in the lead. NASCAR sanctioned track, same basic rulebook. hmmm.
