Posted by Jessica Basically, a young girl was finally coming home from school. Her father was richer than sin and his personal assistant or whatever was picking her up - the two of them were in love. They got there, blah blah, things happened and I can not remember whether they married before or after her father died in a fire but then the husband was gone and the girl found out that he had betrayed her. It was all an act - he never loved her - he was setting her and the father up to get the money etc etc. She moves on and I can not remember what she does either but she is really smart and starts doing her own things. She meets new people, new men, she marries one (or almost does I think) but he is killed, I think she has a child somewhere in there. She starts creating her own empire and getting rich. I know the asshole is in there too somewhere but I can not remember what he does. She meets another man she loves, marries him (I think) and I KNOW she bares his child but he is killed in the end too and by the end of the book she rides back towards where she began, her fathers place in a large ship I think she helped make and finds out the husband killed the father that it was not an accident. In the end she kills him and I can't remember anything else. I believe the last husbands name started with an A like Alexander or something. So sorry but if I knew more details I might have found it myself - ANY leads would be awesome. I KNOW the book is NOT a series book - I DO know that. I also think once it had a purple cover but I know it could have been re-issued but hey, maybe that is a help? Please, any help would be very much appreciated!

This is a hard find. I don't know the author name, the characters name, nor the book (course, if I had the first or last I am sure I could find it). This is my favorite book though (which doesn't say much since I can't remember these things but it has been about ten years since I read it).
