I think Days Fun sounds great! We will all know it refers to DOOL, but a newcomer may simply think of it as a day's fun thing to read. 
It's always been extremely rare for me to be the one to start any subject besides Birthday & Congrats posts. I usually just respond to other posters' ideas. I'm not good at creative writing...accounting reports are more "my style" 
I go to bulletin boards to have fun, and moderating has usually just been making sure things are in the proper forum or deleting profanity.
