Posted by Harriet Most of us (all?) are currently from the old DH board, so obviously we have an interest in DOOL. Maybe start with just a single forum on Days. I think Ted's Comedy Corner idea was good, in essense, but I'd call it just plain Humor (or whatever), and not limit it to Days-related humor. Then an About Anything type forum open to all topics on any subject. After beginning with these 3, see which ones get overloaded with posts or go off-topic, and subdivide forums based on what actually seems to be happening. Two former DH members have already started Days Boards, plus there are already others in existance, like Turtle Run and no doubt others I've never looked at. There's already a lot of competition for a limited number of Days fans. I DO think a bulletin board needs some sort of focus to be successful. It would be nice if we could come up with an additional idea that hasn't already been overdone, which might attract new members, but I haven't any original ideas at the moment. Maybe a 4th forum just for Comments & Suggestions where people could post their "I wish...."

Just off the top of my head...I think starting simple is best. From what I've observed, too many forums are confusing, some hardly get used, and you need a LOT of moderators.
