Posted by Matt on 10/15/2002, 3:51 am Anyhoo, we've been warned by a Muslim extremist here in Australia that we won't get away with our support for the U.S. Even past priminister's have warned our current priminister, John Howard, not to get involved in a full fledge war. But, we are. I TOTALLY support our involvement! From what I remember, there are three targets.. the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Lucas Heights. BAH! Not to metnion any American embassies and the endless list of "targets" that can be found in other states of Australia.
Interesting, that. Has anyone heard of the ANZUS treaty? It's a treaty in which Australia, the United States and New Zealand signed declaring that they'd come to each other's aid in the case of an attack. New Zealand is no longer a part of the treaty but it would explain why Australia has become so involved in Sept. 11. It is REALLY fascinating understanding it and how Australia has been "Americanised".. I say that in a nice way, too. That is NOT an insult.
