BSull...hey Bro long time...still In Florida ?
I think the point that is trying to be made is that "Todays bats are gross...lets face it. there is absolutly no reason to shave a bat then go middle .. with bad intention. If your a good player you can get it throught the middle without it being Dr'd"
I go middle all the time.....But my NRG isn't shaved rolled boil.

: I have a problem with your comparison ... I dont know about you but those of
: us that have played very competitive baseball growing up have learned one
: thing. The best contact and best approach to the plate when you are in a
: zone is a line drive straight through the middle. Who stands straight up
: the middle... A PITCHER. The parents are a joke for trying to blame the
: bat maker and the league and the community. I saw the news story.
: Question to you... What bat do you think the pithcer that got hit was
: swinging... A F3 demarini. One of the HOTTEST LITTLE LEAGUE BATS ever
: made. Parents need to protect there children and there is PLENTY of
: protective gear out there. NO ONE MAKES ANYONE PITCH... Certainly every
: good hitter that is struggling knows where to get his swing back. That is
: the battle the hitter and pitcher encounter every at bat. Who is gonna
: get the best of who.

: For those Sally's who shoot the middle and don't pitch, take a few moments
: and read this article. Flash this through your single brain cell next time
: you dig in with the intention of being a "hero". And don't hide
: behind the fact that it is little league and kids. Makes no difference.
: You know who you are.
: WAYNE, N.J. — A New Jersey couple, whose son was struck in the chest with
: a line drive, is planning to sue the maker of a metal baseball bat used in
: the game.
:
: Two years ago, Steven Domalewski was pitching when the ball slammed into
: his chest and stopped his heart. He was resuscitated but now has brain
: damage and is severely disabled.
:
: The family contends metal baseball bats are inherently unsafe for youth
: games because the ball comes off them much faster than from wooden bats.
: The lawsuit will also be filed against Little League Baseball and a
: sporting goods chain that sold the bat.
:
: An attorney says Domalewski will need millions of dollars worth of medical
: care for the rest of his life.
:
: The bat maker says while it sympathizes with Steven and his family, the
: bat is not to blame for the injury.
