Damn it...I didn't want to get involved.....my 2 cents:
Middle wars happen but the thing that pisses me off is that it shouldn't be an: "Everytime you get up no matter what the situation is thing"
Zero outs to start and inning and the pitcher needs to understand it may be coming. Down by a few with bases open, yup, it may be coming. BUT every time!? With guys on 1st and 2nd, clear situations where the ball should be pushed, clear siruations where the ball should be pulled and yet people still take there silly bats and go middle. F*ck I remember a time when they only came out when you where down 2 with 2 guys on in the bottom of the 7th. Now any ass with a drill bit and a screwdriver Dr's a bat then can't wait to get out on the weekends and burry some pitcher. Ludacrist...just plain stupid actually.
Now...I know most of you all think I suck and will have some comment for me but the truth is that I have sat the bench for a lot of great teams and at upper levels (B's and legit C's) this stuff doesn't go on around here. It never starts out with two high level teams talking in the parking lot about how "next game I'm gonna kill someone" CheckKing will not start a middle war...they will not go middle with guys on 1st, they will not talk about how they can't wait to kill a pitcher.
I can swear on a stack of Bibles that this year I VOWED to not use a single Dr'd bat. As a team we have them and most are not using them, and we ARE getting our asses handed to us from stellar athletes like....well I won't mention the names of those that actually dissapointed ME this weekend, but when I see guys with hands like molasses who never hit HR's bang one to the opposite fields...good players...sure, but when I see Smaller not so athletic guys with slow hands pop one to the bottom of the opposite field fence...well I just have to be a little curious.
And....to add some more anger here...IT WAS A LEAGUE OPENER !!!! THIS WASN'T THE NATIONALS OR A REGIONAL OR EVER A QUALIFIER..IT'S A BUNCH OF GUYS WHO KNOW EACH OTHER, DRINK TOGETHER (FIGHT WITH EACH OTHER) AND WORK TOGETHER. Hell if this is what the game has become, then maybe I should just play co-ed...oh ya ...wait a minute...it's the same people using the same bats in co-ed as well.
Bottom line....if you can't get hits with the new bats, if you can't grab singles when needed and bombs when needed with the new. JH 120 or any Mutant ever built, or any bat that is over a year old and has been broken in without being boiled rolled shaved, driven over with a truck, banged against a pole or in some way f*cked with them maybe you should look at your self as a player.
I just don't want to see anyone get hurt....
And it's gonna happen.
Both Mimmi and Corey are looking at some pretty shitty injuries, what if the rules where enforced and those picters took the bats that where used and sent to USSA? It is the rule, it is what is supposto happen, but the guys who got hurt had more respect for the game by not exposing there friends then the guys who actually hurt them. Thats F*cked up.
Fire away...call me a no talent big mouth hippocrite.....Not like I havn't heard it before.
