The SLIM is an excellent razor. The balance is great. I absolutely love the way it's balanced in your hand. You will certainly want to explore different blades. I have found the Treet series to work very well in the SLIM.
I do not need to see pictures. I have no reason to believe that you are not honest about the quality of your Merkur.
On your side would you like to see pictures?
